(post vezan uz test B12 - 144 ng/L - - topic link)

moja prehrana zadnjih 10 godina?
vegetarijanska, jedem/jela sam mliječne proizvode (i jaja, ali ne sama za sebe, samo ako su u nečem već dodana).
ne jedem baš mnogo i često mliječne proizvode (ABC sir, svježi i tvrdi sir, sladolede, dok mlijeko, vrhnja, jogurte i sl. "tekućije" oblike nikad nisam voljela). uglavnom, činilo mi se dovoljno da nisam ni pomislila da bih realno mogla imati problema.
zapravo ni sad nisam načistu jer neke tipične znakove nedostatka b12 poput trnaca u rukama/nogama i otečenog jezika nisam imala, a ostali neki problemi mogu, ali i ne moraju biti vezani uz deficijent.

nisam išla ciljano išla na testiranje, bilo je usporedno uz gomilu drugih zbog nečeg što mi se desilo. možda je vezano uz nedostatak b12, možda ne, al u petak mi je doktorica propisala Neurobion F za koji, tek nakon što ga kupih i progooglah, skužih da ne želim piti. nije čisto b12 kao što sam mislila već kompleks B vitamina čija mi se koncentracija B6 ne sviđa.
moram malo po ljekarnama skužit kaj se nudi od čistih B12 tableta.
zdravlje ili ne, ne mogu/želim početi jesti ribu ni meso. radije ću probati s tabletama.

Simptomi nisu uvijek isti, trnce nisam imao ali jezik mi je bio, ovaj, čudan :D

Sa B12 cijanokobalamin tabletama nisam imao nikakvo poboljšanje, mislim da je bolje pokušati sa kod nas teško nabavljivim metilkobalamin B12 tabletama.

mali update:
bila sam nekih 25 dana na cijanokobalaminu (Natural wealth), a sad pauziram. taman mi je ponestalo, a čekam naručeni Jarrow koji nikako da stigne.

edit (1.2.): stigao mi je Jarrow danas. da si ne "ušokiram" organizam toliko visokom dozom odlučih pit po pol tablete dnevno. u 4. mjesecu moram opet na testiranje pa do onda možda i skužim neke eventualne promjene.

Follow up: Razina B12 u krvi* mi je nakon cca 4 mjeseca svakodnevno po 500mg metilkobalamina porasla na 413ng/L (s prijašnjih 144).
S druge strane, subjektivno ne kužim ikakvu razliku. Mislim da je ili taj test nepouzdan ili 144 nije bilo toliko nisko/problematično.

Zanimljivo, svi kažu da je razlika velika kada krenu sa metilkobalaminom
Vjerojatno na sreću nisi imala nisku razinu B12 dovoljno dugo

moguće, makar sam se danas prilikom kontrole kod neurologice iznenadila skuživši da sam krivo zapamtila početni broj.
razina B12 mi je bila 144, ne 164.
al svejedno, ne kužim baš neku razliku, objektivnu ili subjektivnu. imah "sreće" valjda.

I was a raw vegan for 6 years. I was 95 to 100% raw, and 99.9% vegan—maybe I’d have a raw egg yolk once a moth, or some raw ice cream (made with real cream) or raw goat cheese once a month. I was so jazzed, I wrote a book, The Live Food Factor, which went on to become the raw foods bible/encyclopedia.

Then I got blasted with deficiencies. Take note. Be forewarned.

I was getting deficiencies not due to being RAW. I still hold that RAW IS LAW. But it was the restricted vegan diet, which anthropologists all know is totally not the way we evolved eating, that did me in. I began to exhibit health issues such as deficiencies in B12, memory problems, muscle tissue loss, bloatedness, irritability, cravings, weight gain, and more.

I consulted with Dr. Stanley Bass, a veteran dieter who has experimented with and written about every kind of raw diet and “veg” diet imaginable. He led me down the rabbit hole and I am forever grateful. I got my B12 and DHA back as well as D3 and more. My memory had gotten so bad I couldn’t recall even my husband’s name at one point, nor his cell phone number. And we’d been together 15 years. At that point I knew it was critical. I got back on raw eggs, and a bit of raw dairy. Still, my B12 was severely deficient after one year of that. It never came back till I got up the courage to go back to eating meat….raw or lightly steamed to avoid the toxins, and never factory farmed. This all led to the book Beyond Broccoli, which I wrote to warn others. I was alarmed to discover, after research, that even a VEGETARIAN diet can lead to deficiencies!

After I discussed all this on the Renegade Health Show, I was attacked by the 30 Bananas folks. I even got on their site (nearly 2 years ago) to help educate them. But I learned it was a pointless waste of time…indeed, the site IS censored, as I was to discover. People who question the dogma are booted off. How sad. Most of the people on that site haven’t been vegan long enough to learn that they might be of the body type that gets deficient on a restricted diet. And my book blows their myth that animals don’t have varying metabolic types, so why would people?

The reason they gave for my deficiencies? That I wasn’t 100 percent vegan!!! Ha ha ha ha !!! 99.9 wasn’t good enough!

Ridiculous. Absurd. Naïve beyond belief.
